Continuing the Body Transformation Journey

So many of you will have read that earlier this year I took the plunge and underwent weight loss surgery, after finding over the summer months I had an uncomfortable rash that just wouldn't budge...warning this could be TOO MUCH INFORMATION...

Yes - it was in a fold of skin that happens in obese people, doctors call it the "abdominal apron" - YUCKY, but a reality!!

At first I thought, yes a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) would fix that, but then I thought further and realised that I had only reduced by 10kg from when I had really started trying to lose weight (for the umpteenth time), and I had the lived experience of witnessing a patient a LONG TIME AGO, after her abdominoplasty, just regain all that apron because she hadn't addressed the underlying lifestyle issues...

SO, instead, I investigated surgical options to help reduce weight, having had a vey unpleasant experience with a gastric band back in 2009-2011, and I decided upon the Gastric sleeve - had this 3/3/2025 with the third surgeon I spoke to ...numbers that boded well for me.

Well, hasn't this been a journey so far as you will have already read (blood clot, appendicitis), but the numbers... I spoke to the surgeon at 125kg. I weighed 119kg on the morning of the surgery 10 days later. Currently (May 9) I am 109kg, but a few days ago I was 107kg - so the issue NOW is FLUID - that is why the weight goes up and down so drastically within the day...and from my research, I need to target the lymphatics.

That might also be why the photos don't seem to show much difference, AND the yucky rash is still there :(
